Dropping and collecting your child

Adults who bring young children must remain on site. Please supervise all young children who are in the foyer. Children must wait with adults and not be allowed to move around the building on their own. Teachers or assistants will collect the children from the foyer, if you are late please bring them directly to the class as we will not wait in the reception area. Children in school years 5 and above can be dropped off and do not need to be supervised but we need confirmation on our parent portal.

Collection must be from the foyer for all younger children. Those in year 5 upwards can be released to walk to their adult outside the building, providing you have completed the google form, if not an adult will need to come into the building. If adults are not outside then all dancers must immediately come back into the building and must not wait outside on their own.

Toilets

Please take all young children to the toilet before class. If they do need to go during the lesson an assistant will bring them out to the foyer to their adult. The children who are old enough to go without needing help getting dressed will be taken by an assistant who will wait in the foyer area. Children in year 4 and above will be able to go to the toilet without an assistant taking them. These rules apply to protect the children and also the assistants as it is a public toilet.

Payment/Fees

Fees are originally quoted on a per class basis, however they are payable in half term blocks, in advance at the end of term, unless a prior arrangement has been made. Invoices will be sent out in the middle of term so you normally have 2 to 3 weeks to pay. Invoices have the term dates on and the due date.

Please note if your child is away due to holidays or sickness this fee is still payable and is non-refundable. If fees are not kept up to date we reserve the right to pass your place on to someone else, and your invoice will still be payable.

If a child is absent for over 3 weeks and we are not notified it is due to sickness, holidays etc, we will assume they are no longer coming to class and their place will be filled.

If they do not return at the start of a half term and we have not been notified, no refund will be given. If you have not given notice and not paid your invoice on time you will be still need to pay the outstanding amount plus a late fee.

Telling us that that they will not be returning at the start of the half term is not sufficient notice [ if you have not paid your invoice] you must let us know by email before the invoice due date. Therefore, you must give notice during the previous term, if you do not wish to be charged further.

If you pay late you will be invoiced a £10 late fee.

We require one half terms notice if you are cancelling classes. You must give notice before the invoice date or you will be charged.

Any invoices left unpaid will be pursued through the small claims court and further charges will be applied.

We have a discount system for those who do 3 or more classes, 3-4 classes has a 5% discount, 5-6 classes has a 10% discount and 7 or more classes has a 15% discount. We also do an unlimited class offer which is £32 per week

Photographs and recording

When you register on the portal we ask for permission to take photos and video recordings. This is so we can use them as a teaching tool, to record choreography and sometimes for marketing and social media. We are always vigilant that the content is appropriate and is in line with our child protection policy.

GDPR

There is data that we need to have on record for our database and financial records. We also from time to time need to share this data with external bodies, such as when entering students for exams or taking part in events. It is never given out to third parties that you are not aware of. Once a dancer leaves the school and all invoices are up to date your details are deleted from our system.
